History of the Firm

Located north of Houston, Texas in the community of Spring, very close to Hooks Airport, the Hawks Law Firm was established in 1980 by founding attorney, Rick Hawks.  Rick graduated from Baylor University and later from South Texas College of Law and has dedicated his practice to serving Harris and Montgomery Counties ever since.  Rick is licensed to practice before all Texas state Courts, Federal Bankruptcy Courts for the Southern District of Texas, and is also licensed in Colorado.

In 1998, Jason Hawks, brother of founding attorney, Rick Hawks, joined the firm.  Jason is a graduate with two degrees from Baylor University and a law degree from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law.  Shortly after Jason's joining the firm, the principal office was relocated from Magnolia, Texas to its current location in Spring, Texas. 

Over the years the practice has evolved from primarily a plaintiff's injury firm in the 1980's and 90's to a complete general practice of law offering counsel and representation in most areas of law.
